Greece delays railway auction with Russian Railways bid for 1 mo
ATHENS, Mar 21 (PRIME) -- The Greek privatization fund Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) has postponed an auction for railway operator TrainOSE in which Russian Railways participates, for one month, an official of the fund told PRIME on Monday.
“The deadline for bids with a notification of interest (in the asset) has been postponed to April 15 from March 21. The new deadline for binding bids is May 31, instead of April 26,” the official said.
The deadline for binding bids to buy ROSCO, a company providing maintenance of rolling stock, was postponed to May 31 from March 28, he said.
Russian Railways said earlier that it is interested in buying TrainOSE, ROSCO and the Port of Thessaloniki.
